Summer

So i have not blogged since the end of school which was a little over a month ago. Mr. Mays would be so proud i actually remembered!!! So this summer is not all that i wanted it to be yet and its not exactly been all fine and dandy. Its been rough. Things happened that just hurt me to the bone. I mean they hurt but im getting over it. There is no use in dwelling on it because it just gets worse and worse if you do that. So im just gonna hope the rest of the summer goes by quickly so i can get back to my friends and just enjoy senior year. Hopefully it will be a fun rest of the summer and a great senior year.

Title

So today is my last day of school as a Junior!!!!!!!!! I am totally excited about next year. Seniors baby!!!! No more uniforms for me anymore!!! This is actually my final for computer class so i have to write either why i am shutting down my blogger or why i will continue blogging.

Well i think i am going to continue blogging. I think its a good way to get something off your chest and just vent. So when im mad or something...all i gotta do is get on blogger and write why im mad and just relieve some pressure. I think its fun and kinda cool. If i can remember then i will probably keep blogging. If i can't remember then i probably wont ever remember unitl mr. mays asks me next year if i blogged during the summer. I am going to Las Vegas!!!! (nevada not New Mexico) Probably next week. Well anyway just thought id let you know that. So that is why i will try to continue blogging this summer.

Calvary Christian Academy (CCA)

CCA has impacted my life in many ways. Without it i might be a normal public school kid getting into all kinds of trouble and maybe even be into drugs and alcohol. I have been going to CCA ever since it started 12 years ago. I started in kindergarten and have never left. Well i left in fourth grade with like 2 months left but i came back in 5th. When i was at public school for that little time i realized how lucky i was that i had gone to a christian school my whole life. CCA has given me a great education and has rooted me in good christian morals. I have been very blessed to go to CCA. Some kids hate it because of the uniforms or the rules or the teachers but those things and those people have trained me well. I have pretty good study habits because of the teachers and i am pretty well disciplined because of the rules. Next year is my last year here and i will really miss having a christian environment to learn and grow. CCA has definitely helped me through my younger years and definitely made an impact on my life and will make an impact on my future.

More blogs on the Internet than actual sites. blogs are web 2.0 because you can comment on them and stuff.
Web 2.0 is letting the Internet just go how it needs to go. fighting it would be stopping the progress of web 2.0

Wikipedia because of collective intelligence(everyone can contribute to it being accurate)
Flickr because you can comment on pictures and you can put whatever tags you want on it(collaborative categorization)
Blogs because you can write whatever you want and people can comment and stuff.

Google sets the standard for Web 2.0 because it owns blogger(the biggest blog service in the world)

What i want to be when i grow up

We have to write about what we want to be when we grow up.
I dont really know what i want to be when i grow up. I am almost there so i should probably decide soon. One thing i used to want to be was an astronaut like every other little boy but i really wanted to. I loved the idea of being in space and i still do but everyone used to laugh at me and say that it was impossible and that i couldnt be, so i dont want to be one anymore. Well i kinda do but not as much. Another thing i wanted to be was a doctor. A surgeon to be exact but i dont think i have the patience that it takes to go through school for a long time. I wanted to be a fireman for a little while but i dont know what happened to that dream. Now i kinda want to be a marine. This is because i want to fight for my country and become a better person from it. I think that by the time i can become one the war will basically be over but i dont know.
So right now im not exactly sure what i want to be but i know i dont want to work at McDonald's or Wendy's for my whole life so im gonna be something exciting.

Web 2.0

So now we have to blog about Web 2.0. I think first of all that its a stupid name for modern web design. Why dont we just say "Modern web design" instead of "Web 2.0." So web 2.0 is basically like the design of a web page. Before web 2.0 surfing the internet was hard and every web page was all messy and ugly and flashy and stuff. Web 2.0 is what is easy and nice looking. It is simple and tells you what you need to know without having to navigate through a bunch of links. It also is community based. you can talk to your friends and stuff and let people know what you were thinking. Kinda like myspace. So web 2.0 is really great and all but we need to have a better name for it.

Computer

So im in computer class and Mr. Mays is talking about twitter. He says we dont need twitter and i agree. We dont need it at all and its just to express yourselfand make you think someone might actually listen. Not many people do listen. Now he is talking about, as he put it, "The Albuquerque Journey." He totally messed up dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably some punk kid just being stupid. He thought it was funny but everyone else thought it was important or something. It is'nt important, get over it. Its a picture of rusty metal with the words "but we're alive" written on it in silver sharpie or maybe its silver paint. Boring and useless. A waste of time if you ask me.

Twitter

I am supposed to blog about why i dont like "twitter" but i think its pretty cool but its kinda confusing. I dont understand all the replying stuff. It makes no sense but i still kinda like it. We will see how it turns out.

U.S. election

What is the most important issue facing voters in the U.S. today? Who the heck knows. Everybody is different. Some may think the war on iraq is the most important issue. For others it might be taxes or abortion or gay marriage or dependence on foreign oil. Everyones views on things are different. You cant make a general statement saying that one thing is important to everyone. Some people couldn't give a darn what the candidate thinks about the war. There isn't a way to say what is most important to U.S. voters. If i had to say what an issue would be that most people think is important i would have to say the war in Iraq. I say this because alot of people are worried about how many troops are dying and how much money is being spent. Most people have a view on this issue. That is why i would say it would be most important. Everyone has something to say. We may not care what they have to say but they still say it.

Spring Break

So spring break was alright but i did alot of work and it was more tiring than school. I wanted to just rest and relax and have a good time but i didnt get to do that. On Tuesday i left for our band tour. I didnt want to go at all but it ended up being pretty fun. We played our first concert on Tuesday in Roswell. It was at some random school that nobody knows about. They had like 70 kids in the whole school but they liked having us because they liked getting out of class. Then we drove to Ruidoso and checked in to our hotel. It was pretty nice but there was a constant problem of room keys not working and it was kind of annoying. The best part of the tour was staying in the hotel. The next day we played 2 concerts. One in the morning for an even smaller school of like 25 kids. Then one at night for a church. The church concert was the best and it was a good way to end the tour. Then we went to our hotel and stayed one more night. We left later that day at around 10 and went to eat breakfast at dennys. The trip back was nice and that ended the tour. We got home at around 7:30 that night. Friday was my only day of rest this spring break. I didnt do much except go to youth group that night. Saturday was very eventful. In the morning my brother and i went to do yard work for some guy. It was hard work and we made 27 dollars each. His neighbors want us to do their yard this coming saturday. It was about a 3 hour job. Then after that was over i went to all star practice for basketball. That was rough and it got me pretty tired. Then later that night i went to see a movie. On sunday i worked at church for a few hours and went home. That was my spring break, if you can even call that a break.

Basketball/Spring Break

So my brothers team lost yesterday in overtime. The score was 61-63. It was a lucky shot by some punk kid. They should have won but this kid threw up a 3 point shot and made it. So anyway i have to write about what im doing for spring break because our computer teacher is making us. I am going on a band tour to ruidoso and i think carlsbad so we can show everyone how bad we are. We used to be really good but we lost most of our good players and now we dont have a decent trumpet player so the whole band goes down hill. Anyway, after i get back from that then im doing nothing else but sitting around all day until spring break is over. Actually im taking my ACT on saturday so it wont be to boring. I just want to get school over with this year. Its really taking a toll on me.

Basketball Game

So i went to my little brothers basketball games yesterday and in the first game they got slaughtered. I missed most of the first game because i had band practice after school for an hour and 15 minutes. So i got to the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. It really sucked. The other team had some dude thats like 6'4" and is in 8th grade. Not natural. I was like 5' in 8th grade. The second game they slaughtered the other team. It was pretty awesome. Now they are moving on to the next round in the tournament. If they win the next game then they get to play the team that they got slaughtered by in the championship game. Maybe the next time they play them they will be a little better.
